Gippsland Centre...a family centre!

The Gippsland Centre in Sale is situated between Stocklands in Traralgon, approximately 45 minutes away and the strip centre in Bairnsdale which is approximately 1 hour away.  Stocklands in Traralgon has a catchment of 126,000 people compared to the Gippsland Centre with a catchment of 45,000.

The town of Sale is the largest town in the Shire of Wellington.  The Shire has around 45,000 men, women and children of which Sale has 13,500 of the population. 

In 2008 the expansion of the RAAF base training facility will impact on Sale, in that it brings a further 170 families, being the trainers and their families to Sale.  It will also see a constant changeover of students to the training school on an average of every 6 weeks.

In addition to the above, plans for Lochsport are to increase the housing by 2000 homes as well as a golf course, however discussions are still taking place with the Wellington Shire Council.  Once this is resolved, this will be a bonus for Sale as the Gippsland Centre is the closest shopping precinct.
